Because of course it probably isn't actually going to happen.

Despite appearing on tentative 2014 F1 calendar, as it was in 2013, the New Jersey Grand Prix is in doubts again due to money issues.

I would chunk down serious change — I had saved up 10k in 2012 in anticipation of 2013 especially considering it would be the last year for the V8s. I'll still go next year if it's on but I won't be going all, all out for it. Instead I'm going all out for Austin this year (wasn't able to make last year due to work constraints. :/)

Truth be told, I is a pretty dull circuit. If it were not in the Northern Jersey/New York area, it would be laughed at.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I think it's almost certain to happen at some point fairly soon. It's purely a matter of money, and the richer New York gets, the closer it comes to being economically viable. It's already close enough that we're seeing the current situation, so I'll be moderately surprised if we don't see a New Jersey GP actually take place within five years or so.

It won't happen, at least not next year", according to heavy-hitting industry sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.

So their still going to being hyping up this "race" at least until next year. uggggggghhhhhhhh .

I drove this route with a buddy who lives within walking distance. It was in his ecoboost F-150, but still cool to see. Good amount of elevation change.

I think it looks like an extremely fun circuit, especially with what appears to be the potential to take 4/5ths of the back flat out if you hit it right.
